MyDoom virus wages war on Microsoft and SCO
Microsoft and SCO group, the targets of the Mydoom virus, are bracing themself for the onslaught expected when computers infected with the MyDoom virus target them for a DDOS attack. SCO, targetted by the MyDoom.A is expected to fare worse than Microsoft, which is targetted by the MyDoom.B virus which has had a smaller fallout. MyDoom.B was the second version and was released at a time when computer users were starting to protect themselves against the virus already. MyDoom virus, in addition to causing infected computers to launch a DDOS attack on the abovementioned corporate sites, is also known to open a backdoor into an infected computer, making it easy for a hacker to access confidential data on that computer. Users may download a virus removal program from Symantec. Search for Microsoft Search for SCO Search for Symantec Search for Antivirus |
